Impact of culture on quality 26 years 10 months ago #41

I am looking for information and research material on the impact of national culture and social background on the understanding of
quality.
(with special interest of the automotive industry)
Interesting questions:
What does quality mean for people of different nations: US, Switzerland, Japan, Sudan, India ?
How important is it that the employee can relate to the product he is working for (can he afford it?)
What does this mean for multinational corporations?
